This update brings two new features, Prospecting and Live Chat, to the Professional and Enterprise plans. It also adds phone-number management to the Power Dialer, a much smarter CSV import, and a set of CRM upgrades for companies, contacts and deals.

Prospecting: find new buyers without leaving the CRM

Prospect lists usually live in another tool, and then have to be cleaned up before they can go anywhere near your CRM. Maxwelo now brings prospecting into the CRM: an admin connects your organization’s own B2B data-provider account once, and your team searches it from inside Maxwelo. Credits come from that provider account.

  • Search people or companies. Filter people by job title, seniority, location, company size, revenue, technologies and more, or search companies directly. Save the matches you want as Generated Leads.
  • Spend credits only when you choose to. People search is free and never includes contact details; company search uses one credit per page of results and asks you to confirm first. A manager or admin can reveal a lead’s email address, and the confirmation shows the most credits the reveal could use before anything is spent.
  • Keep spend visible. Credit-spending requests are subject to a per-request cap and an organization-wide daily limit, and each one is recorded in the credit ledger.
  • Import without the mess. Maxwelo previews the import first and matches each lead against the contacts and companies you already have. A match only fills in fields that are blank, so it never overwrites what you already have. Every import appears in an Imported Leads history that links to the records it created.

Reps can search and save leads. Managers and admins reveal contact details, search companies and run imports. See how Prospecting works.

Live Chat: turn website visitors into contacts

Most visitors leave without filling in a form, and a chat box can catch them while they’re still interested. Paste one script tag on any website and a Maxwelo chat widget appears with your name, your brand colour and your greeting. Visitors leave their name, email address and message, and you can make a phone number optional or required.

  • One shared inbox. Chats are sorted into Waiting, Mine, Active and Closed. Your team sees new chats and replies in real time, gets a notification, and has a badge in the navigation showing how many visitors are waiting.
  • No double replies. The first teammate to reply claims the chat.
  • Every chat is linked to a contact. A visitor whose email matches an existing contact is linked to that contact. Anyone else becomes a new contact, ready for the next call, text or deal.

Phone-number management in the Power Dialer

Admins can now manage their calling numbers from inside Maxwelo:

  • One table for every number. It shows each number’s capabilities, who it’s assigned to and its status. You can configure each number in place, including its friendly name, assigned rep, region and campaign, daily call cap, pause and spam flag.
  • Default caller ID in one click. You can also switch voice or SMS on or off for each number. A channel the number doesn’t support stays locked off.
  • Safe release. Maxwelo refuses to release a number that is still in use, whether as the default caller ID, on a live call, in SMS conversations or as the inbound fallback. It lists every reason at once, so nothing breaks silently.

The Power Dialer, including phone-number management, is part of the Professional and Enterprise plans. Read more about the Power Dialer.

A smarter CSV import, including HubSpot company exports

Importing your companies and contacts into Maxwelo now does a lot more of the work for you:

  • HubSpot company exports work as-is. Upload a CSV of your companies and contacts. A HubSpot company export needs no reformatting.
  • Preview before anything is written. The preview shows every company the import will create, and you can untick the ones you don’t want.
  • Matching that fills blanks and never overwrites. Existing companies are matched by domain, website, name and phone. A match only fills in blank fields. A row that could belong to more than one company is skipped and reported, not guessed.
  • Safe to re-import. Importing the same file again won’t create duplicates. The notes, emails, meetings and tickets listed in a HubSpot export are added to the company’s activity history.

It’s a file import, not a live sync: you export from your old CRM, then import here. CSV import and export are included on every plan. The FAQ has more detail on migrating.

CRM upgrades for companies, contacts and deals

We’ve also added several upgrades to the CRM core:

  • Custom Account Details fields. Admins can add text, date and dropdown fields to the company profile.
  • Custom fields as list columns. Admins can make custom fields available as columns in your contact and company lists.
  • Documents. You can keep files on companies, contacts and deals.
  • Blueprints. Blueprints are reusable collections of files and links that admins build and the whole team can use.
  • Deal pricing lines. You can break a deal’s value into labelled lines, with discounts included, and Maxwelo calculates the total.
